On the evening of Saturday 21 May, respected
members of the pharmacy profession,
representatives from the pharmaceutical industry
and members of the industry's professional bodies
all converged on the Crowne Plaza Hotel at
Shaw’s Bridge in Belfast for the annual Pharmacy in Focus Awards.
a night to hear about pharmacy
There can’t be anyone in the pharmacy profession, who wasn’t delighted to see the return of the pharmacy in Focus awards this year!
Attendees at the Crowne Plaza at Shaw’s Bridge were welcomed by Numark Managing Director, Jeremy Meader, who remarked on how proud and delighted the company was to be the event partner of this year’s awards and thanked pharmacy for all they did during the pandemic.
Jeremy was followed onto the stage by UCA-NI Ltd Chair, Peter Rice, who pointed out to everyone how well the profession had handled the pandemic and how it was facing a bright future – one in which it was being recognised as a major contributor to primary care in Northern Ireland.
Following a terrific awards ceremony and superb dinner, the evening’s proceedings were brought to a close by Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, Cathy Harrison, who gave a rousing speech commending community pharmacy for its contribution to the pandemic response.
