Community pharmacy representatives in Northern Ireland have met Health Minister Robin Swann to agree immediate and much needed measures to support the network during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Gerard Greene, Chief Executive of CPNI said after the meeting:
CPNI welcomes the Minister’s commitment on Covid-19 emergency funding which will go towards helping to ensure our pharmacies can pay their escalating medicine bills, increased staff costs and the special measures that many have put in place in their pharmacies to protect their staff and the public.
Simply put, if these crucial measures were not implemented urgently, the ability of pharmacy teams to continue providing the service would not be there.
We look forward to working with the Minister and his officials on implementing these and additional measures needed to support the service during this challenging time
