Accepting the award on behalf of the team, pharmacist Ryan Graham said, “This is brilliant for the staff and the community which we serve. The main reason we all do what we do is for health promotion and enhancing the care we provide. I think more and more it is becoming evidence that pharmacy does more than simply deliver prescriptions and tablets, we are branching out further in the services we provide and it is wonderful to be rewarded for that.” Ian Strachan, NPA Chairman said, “These awards really go that extra mile to reinforce the value of pharmacy. When we see teams such as this one at Bannside Pharmacy, at a time when pharmacy is being questioned at both a political and commissioning level, then these awards reinforce what we already know, which is that pharmacy is at the heart of the community.
