We’re back: Don’t miss the next NI Pharmacy Brunch

Following the success of our previous NI Pharmacy Brunches, we are delighted to be bringing pharmacy owners, leaders and sector partners back around the table for another morning of honest conversation, shared ideas and valuable connections.

The NI Pharmacy Brunch returns to the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast, on Wednesday 4 November 2026, with two fresh roundtable discussions focused on some of the biggest issues facing community pharmacy.

Running from 9am until 2pm, the event will provide a relaxed and welcoming setting where attendees can contribute, ask questions and learn from others working across the pharmacy sector.

If you joined us last time, you will know this is not a sit back and listen event. If you missed it, this is your chance to be part of the conversation.

Back around the table

The NI Pharmacy Brunch is designed to encourage open and useful discussion between pharmacy owners, leaders and sector partners.

Rather than a traditional conference format, the morning will be built around smaller roundtable groups. This gives everyone the opportunity to contribute properly, share their experiences and discuss the issues that matter to pharmacy teams.

Tea, coffee and pastries will be available, along with time to network and continue conversations in an informal setting.

Two conversations that matter

This brunch will focus on two important areas currently facing community pharmacy.

The role of independent prescribers moving forward

As the role of independent prescribing continues to grow, pharmacy teams are considering how newly qualified prescribers can be used effectively within everyday practice.

This roundtable will explore how pharmacies are preparing for that change, how independent prescribers can support the development of services and what needs to be in place to make the role work successfully.

It will be an opportunity to hear how others are approaching independent prescribing, share experiences and discuss the practical support pharmacy teams may need.

Recruitment, retention and support staff development

Finding good people is only part of the challenge. Developing them, supporting them and giving them reasons to build a long-term career in pharmacy are just as important.

The second roundtable will examine how pharmacies are managing recruitment and retention, the training and development pathways available to support staff and how businesses can keep valued team members engaged.

For pharmacy owners and managers facing workforce pressures, this discussion could provide fresh ideas and practical approaches to take back to the pharmacy.

Make sure your voice is heard

Guests will begin at one of the two roundtables before taking a networking break. Attendees will then switch tables, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate in both conversations.

At the end of the morning, the host will bring the groups back together to share the key themes, views and takeaways that have emerged.

The smaller format means there will be space for genuine discussion rather than one-way presentations. Whether you want to share your experience, learn from other pharmacy teams or gain a clearer understanding of how the sector is responding, this is your opportunity to get involved.

Sector partners joining the conversation

Sector partners will also take part in the discussions, giving them the opportunity to hear directly from pharmacy teams about the challenges they are facing.

Rather than standing on the sidelines, partners will join the conversation, contribute their experience and explain where their products, services or support could help pharmacies move forward.

There will also be time to network, make new contacts and build relationships in a relaxed and useful setting.

Why you should be there

The NI Pharmacy Brunch is about worthwhile conversations and meaningful connections.

By attending, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Discuss two of the biggest issues currently facing pharmacy teams
  • Hear how other pharmacy owners and leaders are responding
  • Share your own experiences and ideas
  • Speak directly with sector partners
  • Build new professional connections
  • Return to your pharmacy with fresh perspectives and practical takeaways

There is plenty of free parking at the venue and no formal dress code. Attendees are encouraged to come along, feel comfortable and get involved.

Don’t miss out this time

Our previous brunch brought pharmacy professionals and sector partners together for open, practical conversations, and we are looking forward to doing it all again.

Because this is a smaller-format event, places are limited and attendance is by advance ticket only. You will not be able to arrive and register on the day.

If you joined us before, come back and continue the conversation. If you missed the previous event, make sure you do not miss out again.
