Community pharmacy support staff across the UK are being encouraged to step into the spotlight as the Recognition of Excellence (RoE) Awards 2026 officially open for entries.
Now in their 13th year, the RoE Awards continue to champion the vital contribution of community pharmacy support teams. Organised by Communications International Group (CIG), these awards are the only UK awards dedicated exclusively to recognising the achievements of community pharmacy support staff.
Pharmacy teams are invited to nominate themselves or their colleagues before the closing date of 6th April 2026 at www.roeawards.co.uk
Celebrating the Heart of Community Pharmacy
The RoE Awards honour those who consistently go above and beyond to support patients, colleagues and their local communities. Eligible nominees include medicines counter assistants, dispensing assistants, delivery drivers, pharmacy technicians, ACPTs, health champions, team leaders, pharmacy managers and other patient-facing support roles.
Pharmacists themselves are not eligible, but they are encouraged to nominate members of their team. Nominations are also welcomed from area managers and customers.
Finalists in all categories will be invited to attend a prestigious awards lunch and ceremony at the House of Commons in London on 19th June 2026, where category winners will be announced.
Awards Categories for 2026
The categories reflect the breadth of impact community pharmacy support staff have across the profession:
- Best Newcomer – recognising someone who began their pharmacy career within the past two years and is excelling in their role
- Clinical Services Star – rewarding those driving new or popular specialist clinical services
- Health Equality – celebrating individuals tackling health inequalities within their communities
- Outstanding Contribution – honouring long-standing dedication and commitment to patient care
- Pharmacy Team of the Year – recognising exceptional teamwork
- Product Adviser – for excellence in OTC product knowledge and commitment to learning
- Sustainability Champion – highlighting efforts to improve environmental sustainability
- Team Leader – for excellence in pharmacy team leadership
Each category winner will also be considered for The Spotlight Award, presented to the most outstanding overall entrant as selected by the expert judging panel.

Entries will be reviewed by an expert panel drawn from across community pharmacy, including representatives from Boots UK, Well, Numark, the NPA, APTUK, PAGB and other respected leaders within the sector

At a time when community pharmacy teams are facing increasing pressures, the RoE Awards provide an important opportunity to celebrate dedication, resilience and innovation within support roles that are often unsung but absolutely essential.

Pharmacy teams can enter multiple categories and are encouraged not to miss the opportunity to recognise the talent within their teams.
