The Pharmacy In Focus Awards are back. On Saturday 13th March 2027, the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belfast will welcome Northern Ireland’s pharmacy community for an evening of celebration, shared pride and well-earned recognition.
The moments we are still celebrating
Last year gave us plenty of reasons to cheer. Balmoral Pharmacy won the first Customer Award, chosen by patients. Shania O’Boyle of Bannside Pharmacy was named Pharmacist of the Year, while the Bannside team also won Commitment to Health and Wellbeing. Helen Murphy of Murphy’s Chemist in Derry received the Outstanding Contribution to Pharmacy Practice Award.
The joy of the evening reached beyond the names announced on stage. Colleagues and teams could share their achievements with the people who understand the work behind them. That sense of pride is what we hope to see fill the room again in 2027.
Who will take the spotlight in 2027
This year brings another opportunity to recognise the people who strengthen patient care, support their colleagues and make their pharmacies places their communities can rely on. A new idea, a lasting partnership or years of commitment could all be the start of a story worth sharing.
Patients will again have their say through the Customer Award, voting for a pharmacy team by QR code and explaining the difference it has made to them. The Outstanding Contribution to Pharmacy Award will remain a surprise until the UCA-NI Board reveals its chosen recipient on the night.
An evening to enjoy together
Guests will be welcomed from 6.30pm for a drinks reception, followed by dinner, the awards ceremony and live entertainment. Held in association with UCA-NI and supported by headline sponsor Numark, the event is a chance to reconnect with friends and colleagues, cheer on the finalists and enjoy the atmosphere together.
