Panadol, the world’s number one pain relief tablet brand*, has announced the launch of a new larger 24-pack of its Panadol Actifast 500mg Soluble Tablets (paracetamol) in Irish pharmacies this September. Designed to meet growing consumer demand for convenience and value, the larger pack provides improved affordability on a per-tablet basis, while continuing to deliver the trusted, fast-acting relief that Panadol is known for.
Fast, Effective Pain Relief
Panadol Actifast Soluble Tablets are scientifically proven to start working in as little as 15 minutes, making them a popular option for people seeking quick relief from everyday pain. The soluble format is particularly suitable for patients who dislike or struggle with swallowing tablets, while still offering reliable efficacy across a range of common conditions including headaches, toothache, period pain, colds and flu, and the discomfort associated with doctor-diagnosed osteoarthritis.
A Convenient Option for Patients
The new 24-pack format is expected to be especially valuable for regular users who want the convenience of a larger pack without compromising on speed of action or ease of use. By offering greater value, the launch supports pharmacy teams in recommending trusted paracetamol-based alternatives at a time when patients are increasingly health-conscious and cost-aware.
Matthew Beattie, Pharmacy Lead at Haleon Ireland, commented:
“As a pain relief expert, Panadol is committed to providing pharmacy teams and their patients with fast, effective treatments that meet changing needs. Panadol Actifast Soluble Tablets offer quick relief for those who prefer alternatives to tablets, and the larger 24-pack size increases convenience and value.”
Timely Addition Amid Industry Change
This launch comes at a pivotal moment for the Irish pharmacy sector. With potential regulatory changes anticipated around the availability of codeine-containing medicines, demand for safe, effective paracetamol-based solutions is expected to rise. Panadol Actifast is well placed to support both pharmacy teams and consumers through this shift, reinforcing its role as a trusted brand in everyday healthcare.
Product Availability
The Panadol Actifast Soluble Tablets 24-pack is available now in Irish pharmacies at a recommended retail price (RRP) of €8.50.
