Community pharmacies across the UK are being encouraged to take part in Ask Your Pharmacist Week 2025, running from 3 to 10 November.
This year’s campaign, led by the National Pharmacy Association (NPA), focuses on the theme “Ask Your Pharmacist: NHS services close to home.” It aims to raise public awareness of the wide range of NHS services now available through local pharmacies, including advice on common illnesses, blood pressure checks, contraception consultations and flu vaccinations.
The NPA has produced a free digital toolkit with posters, social media graphics and suggested press materials to help pharmacy teams promote their work and engage with local communities. Pharmacies are encouraged to display campaign materials, share posts online and invite local representatives to visit during the week.
The campaign seeks to reinforce the message that community pharmacists are accessible NHS professionals who play a vital role in patient care. By promoting what pharmacies can offer, the initiative supports the long-term goal of increasing use of pharmacy services and easing pressure on GP and hospital teams.
