New Editorial Team for Pharmacy In Focus and Scottish Pharmacy
With both magazines now entering an exciting new chapter, we are pleased to unveil our recently appointed new editorial and design team for Pharmacy in Focus and Scottish Pharmacy.
Leading the editorial direction and content is Shelley Gibbins, who joins as Editor, alongside experienced designer Vicky Duran, who will oversee the magazine’s refreshed creative direction and modern new look.
Together, Shelley and Vicky bring extensive experience across journalism, healthcare, community pharmacy and design, as well as an established working relationship built through successful collaborations on projects for Omnicell, Centred Solutions, and Capita.
The magazines’ refreshed direction will place greater emphasis on the issues that matter most to pharmacy professionals across Scotland and Northern Ireland, with a stronger focus on human interest features, innovation stories, sector insight and the people shaping the future of community pharmacy.
Shelley is a trained journalist who spent the first 10 years of her career working on a busy regional newspaper before moving into marketing and communications for both the private and public sectors. She brings more than 15 years’ experience in marketing, PR and communications leadership roles within healthcare and community pharmacy. Shelley has just launched her own freelance marketing, PR and communications business and will be editing the magazine as part of her growing freelance portfolio.
Vicky is an experienced designer who has successfully run her own freelance design business for 15 years. She is taking on the design role for the magazine as part of her established freelance business. Alongside her creative expertise, she too also brings valuable experience working within the community pharmacy sector, meaning she has a strong understanding of the audience and industry landscape.

“I am excited to be part of this new chapter for Scottish Pharmacy and Pharmacy in Focus. I understand how important it is to create a publication that feels relevant, engaging and genuinely connected to the sector and that is what I am planning to do. I wanted to give the magazine a fresh, modern look that reflects the innovation and professionalism within pharmacy today, while still keeping the people and stories at the heart of it. I’m really looking forward to working alongside Shelley again, as well as the PharmacyShows team, to bring a new energy to the publication.”
